Library Joins Largest Consortium to Offer More

On April 9, Newman Regional Library District will become one of 427 libraries in central and southern Illinois to share their automated catalog. This will bring a few minor changes to our library users.

2012 Summer Reading Program - Get A Clue

Read all summer long for rewards and work your way from Private Eye to Super Spy. For every book (or 30 pages in a chapter book) you read you get one book buck to spend in our “Spy Shop” or you can purchase Lottery Tickets for a chance at a bigger prize. Get a bonus Lottery Ticket for every 25 books you read. We will have three lottery drawings: on June 11, July 9, and at the End of Summer Party in August. 837-2412 for more info or to register. (If you are in second grade or older you must read books within your AR range.)

E-Reader Pre-Loaded with Books

Readers now have a choice of a new selection of books that the library has purchased for the E-Reader. When you check out the reader you automatically get the books. Or you can still select your own from MyMediaMall and we will put it on the reader for you.

Passwords to subscription sites now on-line

If you have wanted to use our subscription databases from home, but didn't have the password, your troubles are now over!

ConsumerReportsHealth.org

NRLD patrons now have free access to this new resource about all things related to your health. All patrons can access the site with the library's password for free. Contact the library to get the password.

Changed Passwords on Library Subscriptions Websites

As of 9/24/09, we changed the passwords for Ancestry.com, ConsumerReports and NoveList. Contact library by calling, emailing, or use the meebo screen on the right of this page to get the new passwords.
